Apparent Horizons
2017 - 2020
Today’s horizon vanishes or exists, if at all, as a moving, constantly shifting simulation.
These Apparent Horizons seem real enough but are actually impressions made on polaroid film without resort to the camera. Different lighting corresponds to different color temperatures, in turn evoking a specific response from the photosensitive material. The wavelengths of the electromagnetic spectrum yield ever-changing vistas which in turn become coordinates outlining a geography of light.
