In its restless roaming of the Via Emilia - Stellar Highway 9 becomes the pretext for a On the Road. An opportunity to ponder the idea of distance through perpetual movement. As one journeys from Rimini to Piacenza and back across the present-day Po Valley the signs of complexity overlap. A few kilometers span from remotest past to possible future. The decline of a rural culture mingles with new scenarios made up of multi-auditoriums, roundabout sculptures, pylons and relay masts. It is a surreal tale of alternating encounters with silhouettes drawn by alien light of a post-atomic sun, hints of a relationship with outer space.
